Giving thanks for Brynne’s Legacy
December 1, 2025 | by
Brynne Sheehan was a much-loved friend of those of us at SafeHavens, and of our colleague Dr Bobbie Legg. They not only shared a deep friendship, but they also shared a commitment to children’s wellbeing. As an exceptionally experienced psychologist, Brynne was instrumental in shaping the foundation of SafeHavens’ trauma-care model for children in projects across developing countries.
After battling cancer with grace and courage, Brynne passed away at the end of 2022 and very generously left money for SafeHavens to create a fund for the wellbeing of children in our projects. To honor Brynne’s life and generosity, SafeHavens has created the Brynne Sheehan Child Wellbeing Fund.
This fund will continue Brynne’s legacy of service to some of the world’s most at-risk children by meeting their physical and mental wellbeing needs.
Follow along this giving season as we honour Brynne’s life and share how her legacy continues to bring hope to children around the world.
