The vegetables are back! 🥕
This October, the SafeHavens veggie crew is running the Haunted Fun Run in Provo, Utah, to raise $10,000 for the 44 Deaf children and young people at RHERI in Nepal.
Australian donors can give in AUD through SafeHavens Australia; everyone else can give in USD through SafeHavens US.
One carrot became a whole veggie crew
Last year, our CEO Amy took on the Haunted Fun Run all by herself… dressed as a carrot! Thanks to our amazing community, she raised close to $3,000 for the children and young people in our programs.
This year, Amy isn’t running alone. A whole bunch of vegetables are joining her! The training has already begun, and the pea pod and carrot are taking their preparation very seriously.
On 31 October, the SafeHavens veggie crew will take on the Haunted Fun Run in Provo, Utah, with an even bigger goal: raising $10,000 for the 44 Deaf children and young people at RHERI in Nepal.
Why we’re running
The children at RHERI have a safe place to live, nutritious food and dedicated care. Now, we want to help create even more opportunities for their futures.
Through our new partnership with the American School for the Deaf, we’re working towards expanding access to education, strengthening Deaf identity and creating pathways that can help these young people build brighter, more independent futures.
Funding is the key to making this next step possible.
