A Board member’s perspective

Whilst our team is seeking people to join our Board, we thought we’d have a quick chat with one of our directors, Anete, and asked: why it’s important for her to be on the Board at SafeHavens.

“I believe in SafeHavens’ mission and the work we do.

I believe that every child should have equal opportunity in life, and yet, I have seen again and again that it is not the case. I have seen brilliant kids limited by their environment or their disability in a heartbreaking way.

I believe SafeHavens aims to remedy that lack and I want to be a part of that. But most importantly, I believe in the people behind SafeHavens – their experience, their commitment and their way of doing and being – both with people they work with, and the people they work for. I learn from them every day, and I am privileged to be on the Board.”
