Brynne’s Legacy: Dr Bobbie’s upcoming trip to Nepal

 |  by

Dr Bobbie Legg, one of Brynne Sheehan’s closest friends and long-time colleagues, will travel to Nepal this December to continue the work she and Brynne collaborated on together.

Bobbie has visited our deaf community home RHERI many times over the years, and both the staff and children know her well. Having supported the program for some time, she will once again spend her visit carrying out wellbeing checks with the children and providing hands-on therapeutic trauma support.

She’ll also work closely with staff, offering guidance and training in trauma-informed care to help strengthen RHERI’s ongoing support for the children’s wellbeing.

Bobbie’s trip reminds us that SafeHavens’ work is more than words on a page. It’s people travelling across borders, showing up for children, and carrying forward the legacy of compassion that Brynne inspired.

We invite you to follow Bobbie’s journey in our newsletter (sign-up at the bottom of any page of our website!) and on social media throughout December, and to send your well-wishes as she embarks on this special trip. You can follow us on FacebookInstagram or LinkedIn.

If you’d like to help give Bobbie’s visit even more momentum, consider making a small pledge today. Together, we can honor Brynne’s legacy and the passion she brought to SafeHavens’ work.
