Sita Ram grew up in Gorkha District and now lives in Kathmandu, where he supports programs serving vulnerable children and families. A typical day in his role as In-Country Manager includes coordinating with partners, supporting program delivery and reporting, communicating with donors, and preparing proposals that help expand SafeHavens’ work.
He says he is most inspired by SafeHavens’ commitment to dignity, protection, and wellbeing, ensuring vulnerable children have safe environments where they can grow and thrive. One of his most meaningful experiences was visiting the Deaf Children’s Hostel, RHERI, and witnessing how support is directly improving children’s education and happiness.
Looking ahead, Sita Ram hopes SafeHavens will expand its partnerships and programs so more deaf and vulnerable children across Nepal receive sustainable support and opportunities for a brighter future.
Many people are also surprised to learn that outside of his professional work, he is a motivational speaker, storyteller, and singer who enjoys inspiring others through his words and music.
In his own words:
“I am proud to be part of SafeHavens because the organization believes in protecting vulnerable children and giving them a chance to dream, grow, and thrive.”
